There were 34,989 reported cases of child abuse affecting over 66,000 children in the state of Arizona last year.  If you think there’s nothing you can do about it, think again.  On your Arizona State Income Tax Form, you can contribute to the “Child Abuse Prevention Fund”. The money you contribute goes directly to support programs to keep children safe.  For every dollar spent on prevention services, six to ten dollars is saved in social costs.  It’s important for individual taxpayers to know they have the ability to prevent child abuse by making a donation to the fund on their tax form.
